So what does everyone use for bedding? I use pine shavings or aspen if I can get aspen that is.

I use aspen, I just worry about pine having adverse effects on the degus - pine and cedar can be dangerous for small animals and can trigger respiratory infections, but of course some animals are perfectly happy in it so it doesn't matter if they seem content!

Yeah, I know that cedar can be really bad for degus, but pine I heard, was perfictly fine just as long as you get low-dust stuff.
